Two Unicoi County residents were arraigned Monday in Jonesborough on an aggravated robbery charge involving a woman’s morphine prescription, but Washington County investigators are looking for two others also involved, according to court documents.
John M. Watson, 20, and Christa L. Bailey, 20, both of 160 Guinn Lane, Erwin, were arrested on the charge Saturday after the victim, Lisa Yates, called 911 to report the robbery.
Watson, Bailey and the other two suspects apparently picked up Yates in Dry Creek to give her a ride to Unicoi County. Instead, they pulled over and told her to get out of the car, then held her at gunpoint until she handed over her morphine.
Watson and Bailey were arrested at their home in Erwin a short time after officers responded to the incident.
The two were arraigned on the charge Monday and each has a $20,000 bond. They both have a preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug. 6 at 1:30 p.m.
