Johnson City police on Monday captured a fugitive, who was wanted in Maryland, at a local motel.
David Monroe Winder, 31, was arrested at Motel 6, 207 E. Mountcastle Drive, as police checked on a suspicious vehicle.
Winder had two arrest warrants with full extradition from Baltimore, Md., charging him with a parole violation and failure to register as an offender/giving false information in 2012.
Locally, Winder was charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center pending a bond hearing in Sessions Court today.
