Police say a Johnson City man was arrested on six counts of forgery and seven counts of theft under $500 following an investigation.According to Johnson City Police Department news release, the arrest was made after an investigation that revealed David Bell, 53, 602 University Parkway, had used stolen checks to purchase items at the Food City Plaza on South Roan Street on Jan. 20-21 and then at the Kroger Plaza on Jan. 24. He was identified by security cameras passing checks at both locations.Separate charges had Bell already being held at the Washington County Detention Center when he was served with this arrest warrant. He was being held on $13,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 1:45 p.m.
