Two Mountain City residents facing meth charges

MOUNTAIN CITY — Two people were arrested Wednesday on meth charges after officers with the Johnson County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at a Furnace Creek Road residence in Mountain City.According to reports, Michelle Renee Roberts, 426 Furnace Creek Road, was charged with initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of manufacturing meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of legend drugs without a prescription and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of making meth.Her bond has been set at $91,500.Also arrested was Ronnie Harrison, 48, of the residence. He was charged with initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of manufacturing meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of legend drugs without a prescription.His bond has been set at $90,000.A Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force truck was called to the scene as well as the First District Fire Department to assist in cleaning up the hazardous materials.Roberts and Harrison are scheduled to appear in court on April 9. The investigation is ongoing with more charges pending, authorities said.
