A preliminary hearing for a local doctor charged with reckless driving, drug possession, a weapons violation and vandalism was rescheduled Monday because of several conflicts in the case.
Dr. Robert C. Allen, 63, 117 Brentwood Dr., Johnson City is not in jail any longer, but his whereabouts were not fully disclosed. General Sessions Judge Don Arnold said from the bench it was his understanding that Allen was at Woodridge Mental Hospital.
Arnold also said he cannot hear the case because he has represented someone on the other side of a civil suit against Allen, so the case will have to be moved to Judge James Nidiffer or Judge Rober Lincoln’s docket.
Allen’s attorneys of record, Gene Scott and Bob Green, were also unable to attend court Monday.
The case is now set for June 24.Related articles:
