Police said they’ve charged a local man with stealing a car.
A Johnson City Police Department news release said Jake Robert Malone, no address available, was arrested Monday on a charge of theft of property over $500. The arrest follows an investigation in which Malone is accused of stealing a car from a residence the day before, police said.
He was being held on $5,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center, and is set to appear in Sessions Court on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
