Police say a Johnson City mall burglary was an inside job. Two local men were arrested Wednesday on charges that they burglarized a mall store where one of the two worked.
Glenn E. McCroskey, 21, 1114 Beaujolais Square, and Timothy A. Britton, 19, 2502 Wynn Drive, were accused of taking money from a safe at Payless Shoes in the Mall at Johnson City, 2011 N. Roan St.
Police said store managers reported the burglary on Monday. Entry was made without force, and money was taken from the safe.
McCroskey worked at the business and provided Britton with a way to get inside, police said.
Both were charged with burglary. McCroskey also was charged with facilitation of a felony, and Britton also was charged with theft over $1,000.
