KINGSPORT — A 4-year-old boy was killed in an all-terrain-vehicle accident at a Kinsgport residence on Tuesday.
Police said the boy was playing with and around a four-wheeler parked in the yard at the crest of a hill about 4 p.m. at 513 Rogan St.
Apparently the child pushed and pulled the ATV and dislodged it from its resting point. The ATV rolled down the slope toward the house and pinned the boy against the house.
The engine was not running, and the key was not in the ignition, police said.
The Kingsport Police Department's Criminal Investigation and Traffic Units were investigating. No charges had been placed.
