ELIZABETHTON — A man and woman wanted in North Carolina were arrested in Elizabethton on Monday.
Corporal James Deese of the Elizabethton Police Department said he was contacted by Detective Mark Letterman of the Yancey County Sheriff's Department on Monday. Letterman showed Deese a warrant for the arrest of Timothy Honeycutt, 34, and Dorothy Hill, 46, both of Burnsville, N.C. They were charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property.
Letterman told Deese the couple was suspected of being at 608 Locust St., Lot 19. The investigators were accompanied by Sgt. Matt Croy and Officer Sarah Ellison as they went to the residence.
Hill and Honeycutt were found inside a locked bathroom. They were each arrested on a charge of being a fugitive of justice in North Carolina and are awaiting extradition.
