Two frozen turkeys and a frozen ham were reported stolen from a downtown Johnson City church in a burglary on Monday.
Police were called to St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 201 Welbourne St., where Eddie L. Huggins reported that someone had been inside the church.
Police found a broken window on the side of the church, and when Huggins went to unlock the adjacent door, it was already unlocked.
The church's office had been combed through, as desk drawers and papers were on the floor. Upstairs, several storage closets had been rummaged through, as well.
The burglar forced open a basement door and combed through the church's pantry. Huggins found that the turkeys and ham had been stolen from the freezer.
